The Powerplant Engineer will provide technical expertise across aircraft engines and APUs, supporting AJW’s global aviation operations. This role focuses on engine condition, maintenance planning, repair strategy, and commercial decision-making ensuring engines are managed for optimal performance, cost, and lifecycle value. Working at the centre of AJW’s supply chain and MRO network, the role supports airlines, lessors, and partners worldwide contributing directly to AJW’s mission to transform aviation efficiency.
Provide technical support on engines and APUs across repair, overhaul, and maintenance activities
Assess engine condition, performance trends, and maintenance requirements
Support repair and shop visit strategies, including scope evaluation and cost considerations
Review technical documentation (e.g. engine reports, LLP status, maintenance records)
Work with MROs, OEMs, and suppliers to manage engine maintenance and performance
Support commercial decisions relating to engine trading, leasing, and PBH contracts
Analyse reliability and performance data to identify risks and optimisation opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams (technical, procurement, PBH, trading) to support decision-making
Ensure compliance with regulatory and technical standards
