Role Summary:
The Sr. Manager Assortment will lead the strategy, performance assessment, and continuous optimization of Tmart’s assortment across all operating countries. This is a critical regional role with direct impact on customer acquisition, retention, satisfaction, and overall business profitability.
Assortment is the most influential lever within the organization, shaping customer experience, basket size (ABV), and order frequency. Given its complexity, balancing data-driven insights with market nuances and subjective judgment, this role requires a highly experienced leader capable of driving alignment and execution across multiple stakeholders and markets.
What's On Your Plate:
Assortment Strategy & Performance Management
Own and evaluate the end-to-end performance of Tmart assortment across all countries.
Identify assortment gaps and opportunities through deep analysis of customer behavior, sales trends, and category performance.
Define and drive assortment optimization strategies to improve key business metrics, including ABV, conversion, and retention.
Monitor and assess the performance of newly listed SKUs, recommending country-specific action plans.
Assortment Optimization & Efficiency
Lead assortment rationalization initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce redundancy, and optimize inventory health.
Develop and execute strategies for the liquidation of discontinued or slow-moving stock.
Leverage search data and customer demand signals to inform assortment planning and expansion.
Category & Product Management
Oversee both front-end (customer-facing) and back-end (inventory and supply) categories.
Ensure the right mix of brands, suppliers, and products tailored to each market.
Continuously refine category strategies based on performance insights and market dynamics.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Work closely with local commercial heads, category managers, and country teams to align on priorities and execution.
Influence and drive focus across countries, ensuring consistent adoption of assortment initiatives.
Partner with central teams to implement regional assortment frameworks and best practices.
Data Analysis & Business Impact
Utilize a wide range of data points, including sales velocity, availability, customer relevance, and financial performance, to assess assortment effectiveness.
Understand and manage the impact of assortment decisions on P&L, cash flow, and profitability.
Drive initiatives that directly influence basket size (ABV) and order volume—key levers of business success.
Project Leadership & Problem Solving
Lead complex, cross-functional projects that impact customer experience and financial outcomes.
Navigate ambiguity and develop actionable solutions for multifaceted assortment challenges.
Ensure timely and effective implementation of initiatives across markets.
