As a Supplier Product Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of purchased components throughout the procurement and product lifecycle.
- Ensure the quality of purchased parts within the procurement process, guaranteeing compliance with defined quality requirements
- Secure product quality from initial sampling through to series production
- Approve components within sampling processes (e.g., PPAP)
- Manage and follow up on supplier complaints (e.g., using 8D methodology)
- Initiate and track improvement measures to sustainably enhance supplier and process quality
- Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Logistics to ensure supplier product quality
- Support quality assurance activities for new components and product launches
- Monitor quality KPIs (e.g., PPM, complaint rates) and derive targeted actions
- Drive continuous improvement (CIP) across the supply chain
- Support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and ensure quality throughout the entire product lifecycle
