This position leads Advance product development for VRF/PAC product. Build the development team, lead the team to close collaborate with other Product design team (PM, Product engineer, control engineer, QA, Manufacturing engineer) to complete product feature defined, platform plan, product configuration, module requirement, component selection and design, product cost control, lead product design(sample build and test), project investment budget and tracking etc.. Lead the training for after sales, troubleshooting for the customers complain. Meanwhile, track on the development trend of new technology for VRF/PAC, plan 3~5 years new technology roadmap.
Responsibility:
- Build the high efficiency and professional advance product team. According to the product development strategy, plan the team HCs and design the O-chart.
- Establish the annual performance target and key focus aligning with the supervisor, assign the targets to each team members. Conduct team members’ performance review as schedule.
- Make the reasonable work arrangement according to the team members’ competency assessment, Coach the engineers to complete the work. Make the annual training plan with HR to improve the team members’ competence. Focus on the Team building, improve the employees’ engagement.
- Lead low cost, high reliability, easy maintenance’s advance product development for VRF/PAC according to the product requirements.
- Advance technology and trend study, make 3~5 years’ development roadmap and with Product management team and R&D team for Global market. Organize the new technology study. Focus on the annual running energy conservation technology, less refrigerant technology, new refrigerant, enhance heating at ultra-low ambient temperature and cooling at high ambient temperature etc.
- Close collaboration with Product design team (PM, Product engineer, control engineer, QA, Manufacturing engineer) to complete the advance platform product development. Follow New Product Development process to control the design quality, budget, cost and time to market. Complete the deliverable for each phase.
- Direct and participate in design scheme building, FMAEA analysis, reliability test planning and trouble shooting.
- Make the product Benchmarking plan and lead the Benchmarking activity.
- Maintain close cooperation with testing and certification laboratories, demonstrate full performance conformance with regulatory requirements stipulated by International, National, Regional or individual Customer Standards.
- Establish engineering standards to control the design quality and product reliabilities.
