HGV Class 1 Driver

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join supporting our operation in the Cumbria area, supporting collecting loaded trailers from a customer site and delivering to warehouses around Cumbria area. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis, Shift Pattern for this role is as below:

• Friday to Monday Days (06:00 Start Time)

Weekend working may be required in line with business demand.

Pay Rates:

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Days - £14.60 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £17.60 per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.41 per hour. 

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance

Driver Responsibilities:

• Collection of loaded trailers and delivery to Warehouse, requirement to Tip and drop trailers
• Trailers are Pre-loaded at customer sites
• Collection from docks for delivery to customer sites
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.
