Position Overview
Our Demi Chef de Rang – In Room Dining is an integral member of the Food & Beverage Service team, dedicated to delivering an exceptional in-room dining experience in line with the standards of a 5-star luxury hotel.
This role supports the Chef de Rang and In Room Dining leadership in ensuring seamless service operations, from order taking to delivery and setup within guest rooms. The Demi Chef de Rang combines attention to detail, service precision, and strong guest focus to provide a refined, personalized dining experience.
The position requires professionalism, discretion, and a strong commitment to service excellence, hygiene, and luxury hospitality standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the daily operations of the In Room Dining service, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
• Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly, ensuring correct setup and presentation according to hotel standards.
• Provide courteous, professional, and personalized service to guests, anticipating needs and preferences.
• Support the Chef de Rang in order taking, upselling, and coordinating with the kitchen.
• Ensure all trays, trolleys, and equipment are prepared, clean, and properly arranged before service.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
• Ensure timely clearance of trays and trolleys from guest corridors and rooms when required.
• Coordinate with Kitchen and Front Office teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of orders.
• Handle guest requests, inquiries, and complaints professionally, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, pantries, and storage spaces.
• Follow all hygiene, health, and safety procedures in line with HACCP standards.
• Support inventory control and ensure proper handling of equipment and operating supplies.
• Uphold grooming standards, uniform presentation, and professional behavior at all times.
• Participate in training sessions and continuously improve service skills and product knowledge.
