Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a large, dynamic kitchen team
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations.
Lead and supervise kitchen staff during service.
Ensure food is prepared and presented to company standards.
Support menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal changes.
Monitor portion control and minimise food waste.
Manage stock rotation, ordering, and inventory levels.
Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, and Health & Safety regulations.
Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
Step into the Head Chef role during absence or holidays.
Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
Assist with rota planning and labour cost control within contracted hours.
Support with driving innovation and create a culture of menu development whilst still delivering on the framework of a Hoxton Restaurant menu allowing the amazing produce to speak for itself
