As a Trader, you will be responsible to source, buy and sell non-ferrous metals including aluminum, copper, brass, and stainless steel in a fast-paced, trading environment. You will bring a strong sales mindset, entrepreneurial drive and a results-focused approach. You will gain hands-on training and field exposure while working alongside an experienced trader, progressively taking on greater responsibility and ownership in the market.
What you’re responsible for:
- Developing and managing a portfolio of suppliers and customers for non-ferrous scrap and refined metals, with a primary emphasis on aluminum during the initial phase.
- Sourcing non-ferrous materials domestically and internationally, negotiating purchase and sale terms to maximize margins and long-term value.
- Actively selling material by identifying opportunities, calling customers, and maintaining strong, trust-based business relationships.
- Analyzing global market trends, pricing indices, and supply-demand dynamics to support trading strategies and informed decision-making.
- Executing trades end-to-end, with growing ownership over pricing, logistics coordination, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Building and sustaining long-term commercial relationships with scrap yards, smelters, brokers, processors, and industrial end-users.
- Collaborating closely with operations, logistics, finance, and compliance teams to ensure smooth execution and settlement of transactions.
