Job Responsibilities
- Maintains cell cultures, protein isolation, viral transduction as directed
- Perform sample preparation, staining, data acquisition, and analysis using flow cytometry platforms
- Records results, organizes data in electronic lab notebook
- Maintains data integrity
- Provides support to team members as needed
- Ensures completeness and accurate reporting of data to team
- Assists with troubleshooting protocols and procedures
- Maintains office, lab area, reagents, supplies and equipment
- Coordinates schedules and procedures to maintain efficiency and productivity
- Design and executes new and established methods and protocols.
- Continuously learning via seminars, lab meetings and courses
- Conducts literary searches as directed
- Act as first-line supervisor to team members and provide coaching, performance review, and other administrative functions
- Manage staff across multiple sites within the region
- Identify areas of growth within the existing customer program and support outside activities to promote the overall expansion of the program as needed
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for all TLS ETCT activities
- Work in collaboration with Customer line safety reps to ensure a high level of safety is maintained in the lab
- Meet regularly with key stakeholders (lab staff, service providers, management) to identify, review and resolve issues in a timely manner and/or escalate as necessary

The role will be based on-site, at a customer in the pharmaceutical industry, in Cambridge, MA. The Research Specialist -ITCT Leader is responsible for the management of the Technical Lab Services (TLS) Intracellular tumor cell targeting team. This leadership role is designed to provide supervisory support as well as drive process improvements and growth within the customer's organization. Drive operational excellence by strategically managing resources as well as identifying areas of improvement to ensure the delivery of uninterrupted service to the customer.

- Bachelor’s degree in Biology with 1+ year experience in cell culture, general lab instrumentation, and cell-based assays in a laboratory environment required OR
- Associate degree in Biology with 3+ years' experience in cell culture, general lab instrumentation, and cell-based assays in a laboratory environment required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in biotech and/or pharmaceutical drug discovery.
- Experience with Mammalian Cell Culture, cell proliferation, DNA/RNA Isolation, Transduction and Transfection
- Experience with the any/all of the following: CellTiter Glo, Caspase Glo, Incucyte, western blot, Jess, Li-Cor, BacMam, Lentiviral Transduction, RT-qPCR, MSD assay
Working Environment:
- Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory.
- Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time
- The person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function.

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $80,000 to $105,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
