Marathon Petroleum Company LP has an opportunity for a Warehouse Technician at its Robinson Refinery. The Warehouse Technician will report to the Warehouse Manager and willmaintainaccurateinventory records, receive and issue materials, supporttimelydelivery of parts to refinery teams,operatewarehouse equipment safely, stage materials for work orders, and ensure shipments and documentation are completed correctly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unloads material deliveries, reviews shipments for accuracy,booksmaterial receipts in SAP and stores materialin accordance withCompany Policy.

• Pulls and selects materialsrequiredfor maintenance, repair, operations, and other departments at the Refinery; loadsmaterial for delivery and/or shipment.

• Performs Staging responsibilities.

• Performs cycle counts, receiving and shipping duties, and ensures proper documentation has been completed.

• Identifiesinventory discrepancies, receiving and issuance discrepancies, and takesappropriate action. Communicates effectively with team membersregardinginventory status and any issues that arise.

• Coordinates the monitoring and control of inventory in conjunction with the Material Controller and Warehouse Manager.

• Maintainsrecordsin accordance withthe Company’s records.

• Performs daily housekeeping tasks related to keeping a safe, clean, and organized workplace.

• Completes training asrequired, including specialized training specific to the job requirements.

• Operateswarehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.

• Other duties as assignedincluding, but not limited to, special projects and review of transaction records for problem resolution, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future

• Must be able to successfully obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire or available course offering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years of related experience

• Experience with the refiningindustry or similar industry

• SAP or other ERP system material management moduleexperience

• Forklift certified orpriorcertification

Physical Requirements

Must be willing and able to climb ladders/rolling stairs and work at heights and inclement weather. Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and carry50 pounds. 

SCHEDULEREQUIREMENTS
This position works on a 4/10 schedule (M-Thu, 10 hours a day).Occasional overtime as well asadditionalhours asrequiredfor turnarounds, outages, and projects.
