AT Automation & Change Management Engineer
As anAT Automation & Change Management Engineer, you will play a critical role in enabling, deploying, and sustaining factory automation solutions across Micron’s global Assembly & Test (AT) manufacturing network.
You will act as asystem, process, and automation Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsible for translating manufacturing requirements into scalable automation and IT solutions while ensuring reliability, standardization, and governance across sites.
This role is a key contributor to theMicron Assembly & Test Automation Program, supporting both newautomation initiatives (build &deploy)andlong-term sustainment (run & improve)through strong technical leadership and cross-functionalcollaboration..
Key Responsibilities
Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Define and translateprocess, equipment, and automation requirementsin partnership with Manufacturing, Process, Equipment, and IT teams.
Develop and review automation system requirements, includingtool automation, AMHS, stockers, and ASRS interfaces.
Supportsystem change management, including UAT, issue resolution, and production deployment.
Establish andmaintainautomation and integration standardsfor tools, layouts, WIP carriers (FOUPs, cassettes, magazines, JEDEC trays, PCB racks), and safety compliance.
Lead or supportAMHS and automation integration, acting as a key interface to solution providers.
Collaborate with vendors to align technology roadmaps and drive innovation that improvescycle time, quality, and productivity.
Track automation performance metrics,ROI anddrivecontinuous improvement initiatives.
Manage individual work effectively to support team projects and deliverables.
Promote a culture of quality awareness, including risk management, problem solving, and data-driven decision-making.
Identifyand respond appropriately to reduce systemic risks and prevent potential issues.
Initiate and participate in worldwide/peer collaboration to improve efficiency and ensure standards/BKM adherence.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree inengineering(Mechanical/Electronic/Data Science)orEngineering-related field.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
High levelof self-motivation.
Good teamwork and multitasking capabilities.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and address root causes.
Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on effective team dynamics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of semiconductor assembly/test manufacturing processesisan advantage.
