Qualifications
Essential Functions
-Ability to perform a variety of interactions with children on the floor/ground.
-Ability to work with any age group assigned; flexibility to change area of assignment as requested.
-Ability to observe children within a wide range of vision; respond for safety and emergency care; provide warmth, acceptance, and accurate interpretation of children's needs.
-Demonstrates good judgment in making decisions in all aspects of childcare; organizes time and deals with multiple priorities.
-Empowers children to try new things and celebrates children's achievements without creating tension when a child is resistant.
-Attends each department staff meeting and participates by being involved in discussions regarding the program.
-Maintains professional relationships with staff and families by adhering to confidentiality policies at work and outside work and complies with all hospital policies, local fire and health department codes, New Hampshire State Childcare Licensing Bureau Regulations, and NAEYC Accreditation standards.
-Monitors the safety of children through observations of individuals and the environment on a continuous basis.

- Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and healthcare systems.
- Familiarity with educational technology, including learning management systems (LMS), online training platforms, and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Zoom).
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, instructors, and clinical staff to create a positive learning environment.
