Job Summary
Summary
ED: The Unit Service Technician provides a broad range of care and services to patients, including but not to limited to EKG, phlebotomy, equipment cleaning, and stocking of rooms under the supervision of a licensed nurse. They perform a wide range of secretarial duties, including but not limited to organizing paperwork, answering the phone, paging, and receiving of Emergency Department patients into the medi-tech computer system. They will provide safe accurate transportation of patients throughout the hospital. They will perform 1:1 sitting when necessary. The Unit Service Technician of the Emergency Department will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support [BLS] - Generic - HR Only required and Certified Nurse Aide [CNA] - State Specific Certification Board required or Emergency Medical Technician [EMT License] - Generic - HR Only required
Experience
ED: experience as a medical technician or patient care assistant in an Emergency setting preferred ICU: 1 year experience as a medical technician or patient care assistant preferred OPIC, Perioperative, IV Therapy: experience as a medical technician or patient care assistant preferred
