Job Title: Assistant Manager – Sourcing
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
Reporting to: Country Territory Lead
Job Purpose: The Assistant Manager – Sourcing is responsible for supporting the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process for goods and services within the assigned territory. The role ensures compliance with company sourcing policies, delivers best value, and supports operational excellence through effective supplier management and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the sourcing, selection, contracting, and management of approved subcontractors and suppliers within the assigned portfolio.
Retain approved subcontractor services through competitive bid processes, ensuring compliance with internal procurement guidelines.
Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, including bid analysis and supplier evaluation.
Onboard approved subcontractors and maintain accurate supplier records.
Develop and maintain a rolling two-year sourcing, savings, and enhancement plan for approved subcontractors.
Ensure all sourcing activities integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements, including diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
Prepare and maintain all required sourcing documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and bid waivers, in accordance with company policy.
Monitor supplier performance, address underperformance, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements.
Support the implementation of operational efficiency plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Finance, Engineering, ESG teams) to ensure alignment and compliance.
Provide data and reports as required for management information and audit purposes.
Ensure all procurement activities are conducted ethically, transparently, and in accordance with company values and applicable laws.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field or working towards completion.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in facilities management or a related industry.
Strong understanding of sourcing protocols, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
Experience with competitive bidding, negotiation, and supplier onboarding processes.
Knowledge of ESG principles and sustainable sourcing practices is an advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and sourcing/procurement platforms.
