Job Title: HSSE Executive
Department: Health, Safety, Security & Environment
Reports To: Project Manager
Job Summary: Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, security, and environmental programs across facilities and project operations. Ensures compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Management Implements organization health and safety policies, procedures, and programs. Conducts regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and workplace hazard analyses. Investigates incidents and accidents, prepares reports, and recommends corrective actions. Maintains safety records and ensures regulatory compliance with OSHA and local health and safety regulations.
Environmental Compliance Monitors environmental performance and ensures compliance with environmental regulations and permits. Develops and implements waste management, energy conservation, and sustainability programs. Conducts environmental audits and prepares required regulatory reports. Manages environmental incidents and coordinates remediation efforts when necessary.
Security Management Develops and implements security protocols and emergency response procedures. Conducts security risk assessments and recommends improvements to physical security measures. Coordinates with security personnel and local authorities as needed. Manages access control systems and visitor management protocols.
Training & Communication Designs and delivers HSSE training programs for project stakeholders & workmen at all levels. Communicates HSSE policies, procedures, and performance metrics to stakeholders. Promotes safety awareness through campaigns, meetings, and visual communications.
Compliance & Reporting Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices. Prepares and submits required regulatory reports and documentation. Manages permits, licenses, and certifications. Coordinates with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or equivalent preferred. First Aid and CPR certification required.
Experience Minimum 2 years of HSSE experience in facilities management, construction, or commercial real estate environment. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HSSE programs. Experience conducting investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency with HSSE management software and Microsoft Office suite. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
