The opportunity
Play a key role in shaping how Hitachi Energy wins in the market. As a Sales Support Engineer, you will build compelling technical and commercial proposals. Your work directly influences the growth of the business.
You will work at the intersection of technology and sales. You will collaborate with sales teams, project managers, and clients every day. Your technical expertise in substations will guide every offer you create.

How you'll make an impact
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals based on client specifications and sales strategy.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings with the project team.
- Create and review local sales support strategies aligned with global direction.
- Ensure all competitive proposals reflect current market conditions and client context.
- Contribute to risk review processes in line with company policies.
- Develop technical descriptions of products and electrical solutions for proposals.
- Estimate costs and prepare final proposal documentation with accuracy.
- Serve as the key technical resource during client meetings and negotiations.
- Support product and solution presentations, including training-related offers.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Your background
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the electrical sector, specifically in substations.
- Solid knowledge of substations within the electrical power market.
- Experience in proposal estimation, tender management, and risk analysis.
- Background in sales or commercial support with client-focused mindset.
- Strong communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
- Intermediate English proficiency (required).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
