Your Role
As a Gensler Architect, you will collaborate with our design team to develop innovative design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect's sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. You will leverage your technical acumen and Revit skills to drive client projects from concept through build in a collaborative team. What You Will Do
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver informed project solutions based on market expertise and an understanding of client goals.
- Coordination with the project team, client, vendors, contractors and consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
- Resolve complex design and technical issues with the team to produce innovative, constructible solutions.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the client’s requirements, with the design team working to the correct specifications and delivering a high quality and timely product to the client.
- Participate in pre-design tasks, including visioning sessions.
- Formulate design presentation strategies and present design concepts to clients.
- Produce graphic presentations, physical models 3D renderings to communicate design concepts.

- Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Design Manager.
- Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships.

- Support project sustainability targets throughout project phases and actively engage in delivering them. Coordinate sustainability targets with project consultants and engineers.
- Implement sustainable design strategies in every project stage and investigate solutions to sustainable design challenges.
- Work collaboratively with the team to optimize sustainability performance through design iterations and research.
- Lead climate focused analysis and studies for each project.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design; Master’s degree preferred.
- 6+ years of professional experience.
- Demonstrable work portfolio, preferably with experience in several practice areas.
- Knowledge in sustainable design principles required.
- LEED, WELL, Fitwel, LFA or other rating systems accreditation preferable.
- Previous experience in sustainable design projects preferable. Especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel and /or Net Zero Building certification.
- Demonstrate a collaborative and integrated approach towards achieving high sustainability project goals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of building codes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Proficient in Revit and other 3D modeling software.
Your Design Technology Qualifications
Essential
- Good working knowledge and experience in Autodesk Revit for design authoring, documentation, data extracts and project delivery.
- Good working knowledge and experience in Rhinoceros for design authoring.
- Basic understanding and familiarity with interoperability workflows between various design tools such as, AutoCad, Revit, Rhino, etc
- Good knowledge and experience with real-time rendering processes, and material creation & management within the context of integrated BIM and parametric workflows.
Desirable
- Basic understanding of the setting up of new BIM models.
- Basic understanding of the principles of multi-model collaboration.
- Basic understanding and familiarity with Computational Design applications such as Grasshopper and/or Dynamo.
- Basic understanding and familiarity with simulation principles and processes, including interpretation, and application of results.
- Basic understanding and familiarity with the use of VR walkthroughs and panoramas.
- Good knowledge and experience with interoperability workflows between Rhino & Revit throughout all the stages of a project.
