The Senior Director of Marketing Operations & Analytics is responsible for building and operating the systems, data infrastructure, and measurement frameworks that power Illumio’s global marketing organization. This leader ensures marketing investments translate into measurable pipeline and revenue impact by delivering the operational discipline, analytics, and technology required to scale demand generation.
This role partners closely with Marketing leadership, Sales Operations, Finance, and Revenue Operations to define how marketing performance is measured, forecasted, and optimized. The Senior Director will lead the marketing analytics roadmap, oversee the marketing technology ecosystem, and build a high-performing team responsible for turning data into actionable insight.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in marketing analytics, operations, and revenue systems with strong business judgment. They are comfortable building scalable processes, leveraging AI to improve marketing intelligence and automation, and translating complex data into clear recommendations that guide executive decision making.
Marketing Performance & Analytics
Own the marketing measurement framework including pipeline contribution, funnel conversion, attribution, and marketing ROI.
Develop executive dashboards and analytics that provide clear visibility into marketing performance and pipeline impact.
Lead the evolution of funnel modeling and forecasting across both lead-based demand models (MQL) and account-based engagement models (MQA), including hybrid environments.
Deliver insights that identify opportunities to improve campaign performance, conversion rates, and pipeline efficiency.
Establish experimentation and testing frameworks that allow marketing teams to continuously optimize campaigns, channels, and conversion performance.
Marketing Operations & Technology
Own the marketing technology ecosystem including marketing automation, CRM integrations, attribution platforms, and analytics tools.
Design and scale processes for lead lifecycle management, scoring, routing, and campaign attribution.
Lead the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing management of multi-touch attribution models and solutions.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve analytics, segmentation, forecasting, and marketing automation.
Ensure strong data governance and integrity across the marketing and revenue technology stack.
Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner closely with Sales Operations and Revenue Operations to align funnel definitions, pipeline management practices, and forecasting methodologies.
Work with Marketing leadership and Finance to develop pipeline targets, performance benchmarks, and investment models.
Provide analytical support for quarterly pipeline reviews, campaign performance evaluation, and strategic planning.
Team Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing Marketing Operations and Analytics team.
Establish scalable processes and reporting frameworks that support a global marketing organization.
15+ years in Marketing Operations, Marketing Analytics, or Revenue Operations in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.
Deep experience with marketing measurement frameworks including pipeline analytics, funnel modeling, attribution, and ROI analysis.
Hands-on experience implementing and operating multi-touch attribution platforms.
Experience designing and operating measurement frameworks across both lead-based demand models (MQL) and account-based engagement models (MQA).
Strong cross-functional experience partnering with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, and Finance.
Experience leveraging AI and advanced analytics to improve marketing performance and decision making.
Experience leading and developing high-performing operations or analytics teams.
