DOTI’s Infrastructure Delivery Division – Bridge Office has an opening for a Senior Engineer. This position would be part of a larger 17-person team working with engineers, project managers, inspectors, skilled tradesmen, and business administrators. As a Senior Engineer, you will have an opportunity to manage the design and construction aspects of bridge preventative maintenance, rehabilitations, replacements, and emergency repair projects.
TheSenior Engineerroles and responsibilities may include the following:
Performing project management work by managing, coordinating, and directing large, complex, multi-disciplinary capital improvement projects including project initiation, development, production/execution, and closing/maintenance and project coordination with city departments, elected officials, affected community and business organizations, and other internal/external stakeholders
Providing technical input and guidance to supportother internal City projects. Leverage and advocate best practices to further enhance Denver’sBridge system.
Preparingdocumentation, reports, and presentations.
Conductingquality assurance and quality controlon deliverables, as well as perform reviews of work performed by others to ensure accuracy and completeness, standard of care, and compliance withdesign criteria andstandard practices.
Engagingandcollaboratingwith other city agencies, outside governmental municipalitiesand regional partners,businessand/or community groups, the public, and other stakeholders, as needed.
Coordinatingalignment with internal DOTI departments andother cityagencies,includingDOTI Right-of-Way Services (ROWS), DOTI Wastewater Operations,Denver Parks and Recreation,and Community Planning and Development (CPD).Partnerwithagenciesthatmay include Mile High Flood District, Metro Water Recovery, Denver Water,andothergovernmentalentities.
