As Senior Manager, Business Unit Compliance, you will serve as the lead Compliance Officer for PayPal’s Experience Design organization and designated Consumer Product areas (including Xoom, as applicable). You will act as a senior second-line leader, partnering directly with Product, Design, Legal, Risk, and senior business stakeholders to embed scalable compliance practices across the Product Development Lifecycle and customer-facing experiences.
A central focus of this role is driving strategic enhancements to Compliance programs and processes that enable high-volume, high-velocity product releases while maintaining strong regulatory risk management.
You will join the Business Unit Compliance Second Line team supporting PayPal’s Consumer Product organization. Our team partners closely with Consumer Product and Experience Design leaders to enable innovative, customer-centric solutions while maintaining a strong and forward-looking compliance framework.
In this role, you will operate at the intersection of product innovation and regulatory risk management, ensuring governance, advisory, and review processes are effective, scalable, and aligned to a high-release cadence environment.
What do you need to bring-
Significant experience in Compliance within financial services, banking, or payments, including advisory support across the product or process development lifecycle from ideation through launch.
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal consumer protection regulations, including UDAAP and Regulation E (including Remittance Transfer Rule) and demonstrated ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.
Demonstrated experience leading program development, process optimization, or governance enhancements in a complex, highly matrixed organization.
Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences
Strong project management and prioritization skills, sound judgment, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to independently drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
