Under the direction of the VP of IT Operations, the IT Operations Intern will support the strategic management of technology expenditures and operational efficiency. This role will bridge the gap between IT infrastructure and financial analysis, providing the intern with hands-on experience in cloud economics (FinOps), project capitalization, and vendor management within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Internship Goal: To provide a high-achieving student the opportunity to apply their expertise in mathematics, accounting, and data analytics to real-world IT business operations while contributing actionable insights to the AnewHealth team.
Responsibilities
Operational Immersion: Gain a comprehensive understanding of AnewHealth Business and Pharmacy Operations through structured new-hire training and cross-departmental shadowing.
IT Financial Management: Assist in tracking and analyzing the Capitalized Roster, departmental operating expenses (OpEx), and contractor resource allocation.
Cloud Cost Optimization: Utilize modern cloud management tools to monitor, analyze, and communicate cloud spend trends to stakeholders, helping to drive cost-conscious engineering cultures.
Strategic Support: Assist the leadership team with ad-hoc projects and other essential duties as directed.
Skills & Abilities
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, Outlook, Word).
Communication Excellence: Ability to translate complex data into clear written reports and oral presentations.
Interpersonal Impact: Strong rapport-building skills with a focus on active listening and inquisitive problem-solving.
Detail Orientation: Exceptional organizational skills with an "acute attention to detail" approach to financial data integrity.
Requirements
Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, majoring in Finance and Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
Analytical Mindset: A strong interest in the intersection of technology and finance (FinOps).
