The AI Data Scientist role is designed for individuals who are interested in applying data science, machine learning, and generative AI to healthcare and operational challenges.Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilitiesincluding but not limited to:
1. Supportthe development and evaluation ofmachine learning and generative AI modelsfor healthcare analytics, automation, and decision support.
2. Buildafoundational understanding of large and small language models (LLMs), including basic architecture concepts, embeddings, inference behavior, and limitations.
3. Assistwithprompt design, prompt testing, and prompt optimizationto improve accuracy, relevance, and consistency of LLM outputs.
4. ParticipateinLLM finetuning activities(such as instruction tuning orparameterefficientfinetuning) under guidance and within established workflows.
5. Helpdesign and executemodel evaluation approaches, including quantitative metrics and qualitative review of LLM outputs (accuracy, completeness, bias, hallucinations).
6. Contributetoretrieval ofaugmentedgeneration (RAG)projects byassistingwith data preparation, document evaluation, and grounding assessments.
7. Performexploratory data analysis, data validation, and feature engineeringfor predictive and descriptive modeling tasks.
8. Collaboratewith senior data scientists, data engineers, clinicians, and business stakeholders to translate problems intodata science and AI modeling work.
9. Createvisualizations, written summaries, and presentationsto communicate insights and model performance to technical and nontechnical audiences.
10. FollowResponsible AI practices, including awareness of fairness, bias, privacy, transparency, andappropriate AIuse in healthcare.
11. Participatein team meetings, mentoring sessions, and ongoing learning activities related to AI and data science.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’sdegree inData Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative fieldrequired.
Relevantcoursework or academic projects inmachine learning, NLP, or AIstrongly preferred.

Experience:
0–2 yearsof related experience, including internships, research, academic projects, orentrylevel roles.
Handsonexperience throughcoursework, capstone projects, labs, or internshipsinvolving data analysis or AI modeling.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Foundationalunderstanding ofdata science, machine learning, and generative AI concepts.
Basicfamiliarity withlarge language models (LLMs)and common generative AI use cases.
ExperienceusingPythonfor data analysis, modeling, or experimentation.
Understandingofmodel evaluation concepts, including metrics and qualitative assessment approaches.
Stronganalytical andproblem-solvingskills with attention to detail.
Abilityto explain technical concepts clearly in both written and verbalform.
Willingnessto learn new tools, methods, and AI techniques in a collaborative environment.
