Tradition Hospital’s Ambulatory OB/GYN practice is a busydepartment thatprovides women’s healthcareservicesto patients in St. Lucie County and Martin County. By joining this team as an RN, you willassistfellow caregivers in providing exceptional care, frominitialintroduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients,familiesand visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide important medical information as needed. A caregiver in this position worksdays from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assess health status by completing a nursing assessment.
Perform telephone triage.
Notify physicians/LIPs of abnormal findings.
Establish a care plan in collaboration with the patient,familyand health care team.
Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care.
Assistwith specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician/LIP andmonitorpatients for response.
Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
Cover other nursing roles within the department.
Develop, evaluate,adaptanddocumenteducation to learning needs.
Provide health education to patients and families.
Participate in quality initiatives, processimprovementsand research activities to improve patient outcomes, patientexperienceand patient safety.
Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identify annual core competencies.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing(Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
One year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS)certificationthroughtheAmerican Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor ofScience inNursing (BSN)
Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area
