As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will play an essential role in this mission and be a part of our growing organization. You willbe responsible forprotecting patients, visitors, caregivers, and hospital property by conducting regular patrols and enforcing facility policies.Not only will this role help you to enhance your skills, but it can also act as a steppingstone to other roles within security at Cleveland Clinic.
Acaregiver in this position works312-hour nightshiftsper week from 5:30PM – 6:00AM. Availability to work Monday-Friday androtating weekends and holidays isrequired.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Patrolthe internal/external premises whilemaintaininga high degree of courtesy and good judgment in dealing with the public.
Monitor visitor conduct,ascertainlegitimacy of suspected unauthorized persons, controlparkingand trafficflowsand enforce parking regulations.
Maintain high tact and diplomacy.
Demonstrate the ability to deal with diverse social,ethnicand religious groups.
Communicate with the public in a clear and concise manner.
Maintain a working knowledge of traffic, parking, regulations,policiesand procedures.
Provide physical restraint against those who endanger caregivers,patientsand visitors.
Provide escort to personnel asappropriate.
Unlock offices and facilities and secure patient valuables.
Apply restraining techniques, as required, tomaintainsafety and order within the hospital environment.
Report on safety,securityand/or fire hazards.
Recognize and make recommendations on safety violations and hazards.
Demonstrate knowledge of fire control warning systems,evacuationroutes and procedures.
Respond to requests forassistancefrom clinic personnel, patients and visitors promptly.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
ValidDriver’sLicense (VDL) andmaintainrequirements for possession of a valid Florida driver's license
State of Florida Class D license
Good oral, written communications, interpersonal and analytical skills sufficient to document investigative activities
Ability tomaintaina prominent level of confidentiality
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Chauffeur license
Two years of experience
Security, police,militaryor customer service background
