We are seeking a Pre‑Sales Technical Engineer – Renewables to support our national sales team across Solar Panels, Inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Mounting and BOS products. In this role, you’ll combine your technical knowledge with strong customer engagement skills to deliver high‑quality solutions and support our growing renewables portfolio.
Reporting to the National Business Manager – Renewables & EV, you will play a key role in supporting sales strategies, achieving operational targets, and contributing to the success of our customers.
What you’ll be doing
- Customer & Sales Support
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, enhancing their understanding of our full renewables product offering
- Manage existing accounts while identifying new opportunities for growth
- Support the front‑end sales team with technical expertise and solution development
- Communicate value propositions clearly to both current and prospective customers
- Technical & Pre‑Sales Responsibilities
- Provide accurate product and system selection guidance across solar and battery solutions
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with the Specialist Sales Team
- Develop concepts, options and bills of materials based on customer requirements
- Ensure all quotes are accurately costed and submitted for timely review
- Deliver pre‑sale technical support, including product knowledge, stock availability and pricing
- Operational & Collaboration
- Work closely with branch teams, external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure solution matches offer plan
- Plan and track sales opportunities using CRM tools
- Report on customer activity, market intelligence and progress
- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
