Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carries out repairs and maintenance of domestic hot/cold water systems, cooling water systems, storm and sanitary sewer systems, irrigation/ fountain water systems and swimming pools.
- Attends to replacement or new construction projects which may include GI, PVC and cast iron piping and fabrication of necessary brackets supports for installation.
- Attends to repairs or replacement of all bathroom/ toilet fixtures in guest rooms, public areas and back-of-the-house areas.
- Cleans all manholes and clears sewage and storm water line blockages using sneaker machine or ropes and ring arrangement as required.
- Participates in Energy Conservation Programme.
- Ensures that the Plant Room, Workshop and related areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
- Attends to all types of repair and maintenance work
- Attends to repair and maintenance of refrigeration equipment, such as reciprocating chillers, walk in cold rooms and freezer and other commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment.
- Attends to repair and maintenance of air conditioning equipment such as air handling units, window A/C units, package units and fan coil units.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned

- Reports to Repairs and Maintenance Engineer.
- Interacts and cooperates with others in the Engineering Department.
- Interacts and cooperates with guests and outside contractors as directed.
- Interacts with other departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions and festivities.
Other Responsibilities:
- Responsible Business: show involvement and be interested in environmental and/or social issues by participating in Responsible Business hotel and departmental activities.
- Ensures that self is familiar with in-house facilities to assist guests and promote sales.
- Informs and updates the HOD on problems and unusual matters.
- Attends meetings and training required by the HOD.
- Assists colleagues when needed.
- Accepts flexible working schedule when necessary for the Hotel’s uninterrupted service.

- Marketing promotions
- Laws relating to own field of responsibility
-Stays abreast of current and new industry technology relating to function. - Performs required duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner to achieve the overall objective of the position.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others by applying hotel regulations, and adhering to existing laws and regulations
- Ensure that guests’ details are not disclosed.
- Fully understand the Hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
- Follow emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.
Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform , appearance and body language .
