- Safely operate a vehicle to transport and deliver packages to customers throughout the Des Moines area
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and maximize efficiency
- Collect payments, obtain signatures, and maintain accurate delivery records
- Inspect vehicles daily to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate professionally with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery concerns with empathy and clarity
- Load and unload packages carefully, handling items with appropriate care to prevent damage
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices
- Track and report delivery metrics, including mileage and delivery completion times
- Collaborate with the dispatch team to adapt to route changes and handle urgent deliveries when needed
