Are you ready to discover the role of a Technical Writer in Netcompany?
Joining us as a Technical Writer, you will be part of our EUSS Service at the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE). You will be responsible for creating and maintaining public documentation about the RecFishing system, as well as preparing training materials and delivering training sessions to EU Member States. RecFishing is an electronic system designed to facilitate data collection and catch reporting from recreational fisheries across the EU, in collaboration with EU coastal countries. This new system aims to eliminate existing disparities in data collection and enhance the reliability of EU-wide assessments.
As a Technical Writer you will:
- Produce high quality documentation for the information systems (this includes SOPs, KB articles, user guides, training materials, video tutorials, forms, meeting minutes, surveys, etc).
- Write concise, easy-to-understand documentation that simplifies complex technical concepts into content consumable by all skill levels and roles.
- Ensure that documentation is available and updated in time, aligned with the product development and maintenance process.
- Ensure proper organization, categorization, accessibility, and usability of knowledge assets across the dedicated tools.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Software Engineers, Developers, Support Engineers and more, to scope and define documentation projects.
- Provide services to all stakeholders according to ITIL best practices, handling and documenting requests and feedback.
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions to EU Member States on the use of the RecFishing system.
- Facilitate live training sessions, both online and in person.
- Maintain training materials up-to-date and aligned with EC standards.
- Ensure compliance with the organization's knowledge management strategy, communication, training and learning policies, and data security regulations.
