Job Title: Oracle Fusion Technical Consultant - Support
Job Summary
The Oracle Fusion Technical Consultant - Support is a dedicated professional responsible for the ongoing technical support, maintenance, and enhancement of the Oracle Fusion Cloud applications. This role is a critical part of the support team, focusing on resolving technical issues, troubleshooting integrations and reports, and performing routine maintenance tasks. The consultant will serve as a technical expert for the business, ensuring the stability, performance, and integrity of the Oracle Fusion environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Incident Resolution:
- Serve as a second or third-line technical support for Oracle Fusion applications, responding to and resolving technical incidents and service requests from end-users and other IT teams.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to integrations, custom reports, data conversions, and system performance.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring technical issues and work to implement permanent solutions.
- Log and manage Service Requests (SRs) with Oracle Support, providing necessary logs and information to facilitate resolution.
- Development & Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing technical support for custom reports built with BI Publisher, OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence), and Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), including debugging and modifying existing reports.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing integrations built with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), File-Based Data Import (FBDI), and other integration methods.
- Perform minor technical enhancements and customizations to meet new business requirements.
- Execute data corrections and data uploads using standard Oracle tools.
- System Administration & Release Management:
- Monitor and manage scheduled jobs and concurrent programs to ensure successful completion.
- Assist in the planning and execution of technical tasks for quarterly Oracle Cloud updates, including impact analysis of new features on existing custom solutions.
- Perform regression testing of technical components (reports, integrations, customizations) after updates or patches.
- Maintain and update technical documentation for all custom objects, including integration specifications, report layouts, and code changes.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with functional consultants to understand and resolve end-to-end business process issues with a technical component.
- Work with cross-functional IT teams to support integrations and maintain system integrity.
- Communicate technical resolutions clearly and effectively to non-technical users and business stakeholders.
