Position Summary: This position is responsible for safely and efficiently providing technical paint kitchen support to the Finishing department. This position requires strong technical skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Mix topcoat, sealer and/or stain with correct number of reducers, additives, agitation, and under adequate temperatures to ensure material workability and performance.
• Schedule, record, track and maintain departmental activity logs and reports.
• Mix color/topcoat/sealer onto parts moving on overhead line.
• Monitor finish substance and adjust for correct volume and thickness in accordance with room temperature and humidity changes.
• May assist in or perform the moving and disposing of Hazardous Waste requirements.
• May load and unload trucks for material shipments.
• May assist as needed to perform flow rates, mil checks, and equipment set-ups.
• Rotate into other finishing department positions as required.
• Maintain and promote positive attitude, teamwork and cooperation.
• Support Continuous Improvement by participating in and sustaining the MasterBrand Production System (MPS).
• Follow and support safety initiatives and assist in development of safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Support Specialist.
Job Requirements/Skills:
• Hazardous Material and respirator certifications required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and support department initiatives.
• Demonstrated technical ability working with color, finishes and finishing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to read and use fixed-gauge measurement instruments (metric and standard).
• Demonstrated ability to complete, understand, and retain necessary schedules and records.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, comprehend and carry out all written and verbal departmental instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain production goals, including flexible hours as required.
• Demonstrated ability to meet, maintain, or exceed quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to follow all established safety practices and procedures, including reading and understanding materials and safety data sheets.
• Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out policy.

Work Environment:
• Manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to wood dust, and cabinetmaking related materials.
• Exposure to hot and cold elements due to non-climate-controlled environment.
• Wearing of Personal Protection Equipment required: eye and ear protection.
• Adherence to Entanglement clothing policy required.
