Responsibilities & Duties:
Perform moderately complex balance sheet reconciliation activities, focusing on Indirect Tax Accounts.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation and review of the assigned account reconciliations.
Timely and accurate reporting of reconciling items for correction and adjustments with Tax Returns.
Timely and accurate reporting of aged reconciliation variances to assist with corrections in the general ledger.
Analyze data to resolve reconciling items and variances and to address queries on accounts movements.
Ensure reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, internal policies, audit procedures and regulations.
Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to the manager or stakeholders for timely resolution.
Document and update the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
Perform moderate to complex tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.
Contribute in various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.
Assist in audit-related activities.
Document reconciliations using specific tools as Blackline.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
3-4 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting
Excellent proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Power Point, etc)
Working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and intern controls
Experience with Indirect Tax Compliance is an advantage
Experience working withOracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage
