AECOM is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mid-Level Transportation Design Engineer to join our growing team in Murray, Utah. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of impactful transportation projects including interchanges, highways, and urban corridors across the region. You will play a key role in developing 3D design models, preparing engineering calculations, and supporting project execution from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities
- Perform transportation engineering design for roadways, interchanges, and urban corridors using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Develop and manage 3D models using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads/InRoads platforms.
- Execute engineering calculations, analyses, and design tasks for moderately complex assignments.
- Gather, review, and interpret engineering data to support design decisions and project development.
- Prepare design plans, specifications, reports, and supporting technical documentation.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies while ensuring adherence to internal quality control processes.
- Propose solutions to design challenges by adapting standard engineering techniques and prior experience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and efficient project delivery.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level engineers and support staff.
- Manage assigned tasks to meet project budgets, schedules, and quality expectations with minimal supervision.
