AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is seeking a talented for the Senior Engineer - Transmission & Distribution (Secondary) is responsible for the design and delivery of secondary engineering systems for High Voltage Substations, including protection, control, automation, and communication systems. The role is primarily focused on producing high-quality engineering deliverables across all project phases (FEED, Detailed Design, Construction, and Commissioning support), ensuring technical compliance, constructability, and reliable operation of the substation.
Prepare and deliver secondary design documentation for HV Substations, including:
- Protection & control schematics
- Wiring and interconnection diagrams
- Cable schedules and termination drawings
- Protection single line diagrams and logic diagrams
- Panel layouts and equipment arrangements
- Develop protection and control philosophies and contribute to Basis of Design documentation.
- Perform engineering design of AC/DC auxiliary systems, control circuits, interlocking, and automation interfaces.
- Support relay configuration and protection scheme design (distance, differential, overcurrent, busbar, transformer protection, etc.).
- Ensure designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Work closely with the Project Engineer and/or Project Manager to support engineering planning, deliverables tracking, and technical coordination.
- Support projects across all phases: tender, design, construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Provide technical input for engineering estimates, change management, and technical risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with primary, civil, and SCADA/telecom disciplines to ensure integrated and clash-free design.
- Prepare and maintain high-quality engineering documentation, including:
- Design reports and calculations
- Protection philosophies and relay setting inputs
- Technical specifications and material requisitions
