AECOM is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Traffic Engineer to support a Traffic Management Center (TMC) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage real-time traffic operations within a Traffic Management Center environment.
- Analyze traffic conditions and identify performance issues related to incidents, congestion, and signal operations.
- Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to implement traffic signal timing adjustments and alternate timing plans.
- Support deployment and optimization of timing plans across a large network of interconnected traffic signals.
- Perform traffic engineering analyses, including operational assessments and system performance evaluations.
- Gather, review, and interpret traffic data using established tools and methodologies.
- Identify discrepancies in data and system performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare technical documentation including reports, memoranda, and operational summaries.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers and support staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to support traffic operations and project delivery.
- Ensure assigned work is completed on schedule and within budget while adhering to AECOM quality standards.
- Independently perform tasks required to support primary traffic engineering and operational initiatives.
