At AECOM, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Risk Manager to join in our Dublin office.
The Senior Risk Manager will be required to attend site three days per week and two days per week will be remote working.
The Senior Risk Manager provides leadership in the delivery of risk management services across complex capital projects within a consulting environment. The role leads the identification, assessment, and management of project risks, while offering expert guidance to clients and project teams to ensure risks are proactively and effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Your day to day will include but not be limited to the following tasks and responsibilities:
Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of project and programme-level risk management processes aligned with client requirements and industry best practice.
Proactively identify, assess, and manage a wide range of project risks, including financial, commercial, operational, schedule, and delivery risks.
Plan and facilitate risk identification workshops, risk reviews, and assurance sessions with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Develop, maintain, and assure high-quality risk registers and RAID logs, ensuring risks are clearly articulated, appropriately scored, and effectively tracked.
Undertake and oversee qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including risk modelling, and provide clear interpretation of results to inform decision-making.
Work closely with project controls, cost, planning, and commercial teams to ensure risk outputs are fully integrated into forecasts, schedules, and performance reporting.
Monitor and report on risk exposure, trends, emerging risks, and mitigation effectiveness, providing concise, actionable insights to clients and leadership teams.
Support and challenge project teams in the development and implementation of robust risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Ensure risk data is accurate, current, and reflective of the project’s evolving risk profile.
Provide expert risk management advice, coaching, and mentoring to project teams and junior risk practitioners.
Contribute to the development of organisational risk capability, standards, tools, and best practices within the consulting business.
