At AECOM Enterprise Capabilities we are currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of Projects, either as standalone commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to ground and geotechnical engineering.
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures in ground engineering.
- Provides guidance to entry level engineers and technicians.
- Proposes an approach to solve new problems encountered.
- Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests in geotechnical engineering.
- Identifies discrepancies in lab and modelling results in geotechnical engineering.
- Prepare and manage technical specification sections related to designs, ensuring they meet project requirements with emphasis on geotechnical projects.
- Working on international projects related to geotechnical engineering and collaborating in multidisciplinary initiatives as part of the Enterprise Capabilities’ family
- Proven commitment to Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
