Summary:
The Principal consultant will independently lead client relationships at all levels of the client organization. The Principal also actively participates in the office Leadership Group and leads operations-focused and business development initiatives both internally and externally.
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Drive business results through retaining and growing existing client relationships.
- Provide thought leadership and intellectual capital for clients
- Provide strong leadership with client teams
- Manage client relationships
- Manage and execute projects and other client deliverables
- Independently lead complex project and client assignments.
- Possess strong senior consultant traits, specifically asking effective questions, listening skills and applying key themes from a client's business objectives and challenges.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of technical aspects of financial analyses and translates results into appropriate strategic plans for clients.
- Delegates work appropriately, enabling teammates to grow in their careers
- Ability to create prospect leads and drive revenue generation; includes new revenue channels and expanded revenue with existing clients.
- Serves as a formal or informal mentor and advisor for teammates.
- Accountability for all client work to be accurate and peer reviewed 100% of the time.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 10 years of employee benefits consulting experience
- Strong management skills
- Strong client relationship and revenue generation skills
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
- Proficient with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Life and Health license in good standing, required within 90 days of hire
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:
- Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day.
- Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day.
- Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
- Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.
- Ability to travel to client meetings both locally and out of town as needed.
- This role may involve routine or periodic travel which requires the teammate to operate their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. As a condition of employment—and periodically thereafter—the teammate may be required to maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and carry minimum levels of auto insurance coverage.

Pay Range
$250,00 - $375,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
