We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical ESD and Mechanical Stress Coordinator to join our team in Celaya Guanajuato, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity, reliability, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) resistance of our products/systems, such as electronic devices, consumer electronics, and industrial equipment, and for ensuring compliance with established standards for production areas. The selected candidate will play a key role using advanced simulation tools, analytical methods, and practical testing to identify and mitigate potential mechanical failures and issues related to mechanical stress and ESD risks. Responsible of tooling and fixture control and definition according CeFQ.193 (Procedure to perform time studies, cycle time update and verification)
You will work collaboratively across departments to coordinate testing procedures, document findings, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain ESD control programs and procedures in accordance with industry standards (IPC, ANSI, ISO)
- Ensuring compliance with applicable standards at BOSCH (N55, IPC 9704 capability studies using Q-Das) and the development of new process standards
- Authority and responsibility to initiate actions to prevent nonconformities, identify and record all problems related to ensuring mechanical stress and ESD standards.
- Provide production support in solving problems that affect processes and machines with issues related to ESD and mechanical stress.
- Provide support with workstation release processes for new releases and new projects.Investigate and diagnose mechanical failures in existing products, prototypes, and field returns, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Apply fundamental ESD principles to product design, identifying potential ESD pathways and implementing effective mitigation strategies
- Responsible to implement and assure 5S麓s compliance in ESD/stress lab
- Responsible to define and approve capability estudies defined in production areas according the progam stablish and during new projects release.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of an effective ESD control program for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Monitor and coordinate mechanical stress testing activities to ensure product reliability and performance specifications are met
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of ESD-sensitive areas and equipment to verify compliance with established protocols
- Document all ESD and mechanical stress testing procedures, results, and corrective actions in organized and accessible formats
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering teams to address ESD and mechanical stress-related issues
