Design Engineer for Exhaust gas After Treatment System (ATS) & Thermal management system(TMS).
- Develop the exhaust gas after treatment system (ATS) and Thermal management system(TMS)solutions of customer projects, based on the project technical requirements.
- Transfer of concepts into detail designs, creation of 3D-models, 2D-drawings incl. Tolerance calculation (GD&T) and technical customer documentation and installation guidelines.
- Creating parts breakdown (Bill of Material -BoM) and technical customer documentation and installation guidelines.
- Responsible for functional optimizations of the ATS and TMS by implementing results of CFD, FEA, Acoustic/NVH simulations by considering the manufacturing feasibility and design 2 cost requirements.
- Implement requirement engineering, focus analysis, design review based on failure model etc. FMEA, 8D etc. quality tools to fully understand the products and design reliable products.
- Creation and dealing with ECR's (engineering change requests).
- Coordinate with simulation team for the CFD/ FEA and acoustic simulation to verify the design concept, coordinate with the testing team to define necessary components reliability validation.
- Provide technical support to purchase to develop supplier chain.
- Coordinate with sample shop or suppliers to produce samples.
- Support the simultaneous engineering team including design, purchasing, manufacturing and quality functions.
- Support Sales in terms of customer meetings for requirements management and concept presentation.
- Subproject Management Design and Troubleshooting (8D & Problemsolving) in the ATS and TMS development and series phases.
