Job Summary:
Join a world leader in automotive technology. As an application engineer in our Active Safety team, you will play
a pivotal role in the development & calibration of cutting-edge safety systems like ABS, ESP & new-generation
braking systems like Integrated Power Brake庐 & iBooster庐 on new prototype vehicle platforms. You will work
on a diverse range of automobiles, including combustion engines vehicles, hybrids & EVs in both passenger &
commercial vehicle segments, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety & performance. This is a
hands-on role for an engineer who is passionate about vehicle performance calibration, vehicle dynamics &
shaping the future of mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
* System Calibration & Performance: Understanding system requirements, calibrate, test, & evaluate
algorithms in control systems installed on prototype vehicles to meet Bosch, customer, & legal standards.
* Vehicle Validation: Conduct comprehensive vehicle performance tests in various environments (summer &
winter proving grounds) & analyze results to optimize & validate system behavior.
* Customer Engagement: Act as a key technical contact for customers, understanding their requirements,
providing expert support, & ensuring successful project delivery.
* Technical Problem-Solving: Diagnose & troubleshoot complex in-vehicle issues related to hardware,
software, & data acquisition systems during the entire development cycle.
* Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with internal & external teams to support project acquisition & other
technical activities, ensuring adherence to all development & quality processes.
Preferred Skills:
* Basic understanding of ABS/ESP systems- working principle, hardware, software & use cases.
* Direct vehicle testing & validation experience on proving grounds & test tracks- Brake tests, dynamic lane
changes & handling maneuvers on different test surfaces. Track driving license good to have (not
mandatory).
* Strong ability to gauge vehicle behavior & evaluate impact of change in vehicle system components- in-depth
knowhow of vehicle systems, vehicle dynamics, tire behavior & basic powertrain concepts.
* Extensive experience in homologation testing as per UNECE & AIS regulations relevant to braking systems
& active safety systems for passenger & commercial vehicles.
* Basic experience with software tools like- MATLAB, Simulink, Carmaker, Doors, ALM, etc.
* Hands-on with DAQS (Data acquisition systems & tools)- Vbox, Vector tools (XCP, CANalyzer, CANoe),
external data loggers, sensors & SW programming tools.
