We are hiring a Director, Quick Commerce to lead and scale the Quick Commerce business at foodpanda Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Quick Commerce APAC, with a dotted line to the Managing Director of foodpanda Malaysia, this role will have full ownership of the business end-to-end, including strategy, execution, and P&L performance.
You will lead both our 1P dark store business (pandamart) and 3P marketplace partnerships with major grocery and non-grocery retailers. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can define the long-term vision, mobilize cross-functional teams, and build strong executive relationships with key partners across the market.
Your key responsibilities:
Strategic leadership: Develop and execute the short-term and long-term strategy of Quick Commerce at foodpanda Malaysia.
P&L management: Own the full P&L of the business vertical, delivering both top-line growth and bottom-line profitability against ambitious targets.
Team management: Develop and lead a high-performing, multi-functional team of ~50 across sales, account management, category management, store operations, supply chain, and retail media.
Dark store operations: Drive growth and profitability of the pandamart business (1P) by refining brand positioning, optimizing assortment and pricing, and scaling nationwide retail and supply chain operations. This is an operationally heavy business across >25 dark stores spread around the country.
Marketplace place operations: Expand the marketplace business (3P) through strategic partnerships with leading retailers, delivering Joint Business Plans, and scaling acquisition and account management capabilities. This is a platform business on which we partner today with multiple large retailers in the country and want to grow fast in coming months.
Innovation: Identify and deploy innovative, growth-focused initiatives to unlock new business opportunities and accelerate market expansion.
