The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Processing and Logistics team at our  Wingfield Service Centre as a Logistics Leader. In this business-critical role, reporting to the Processing & Logistics Manager SA, you will lead a small team and work with road and rail partners to deliver exceptional outcomes for our South Australian Customers.

What Will You Do?

While leading your five team members and having a direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products, this role will see you:

• work with our operations and planning teams to monitor information and priorities for our road and rail networks
• forge strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other key stakeholders
• support operational contractor management, cost efficiencies and prompt service with a view to operational efficiency
• identifying improvement opportunities and foster a continuous improvement environment
• provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports and team members
• promote well-being and inclusive behaviours

More About You

You will be an engaging leader focused on developing your team to deliver creative solutions to complex problems with solid working knowledge of transport, rail operations or logistics environments, you will bring. 

• a proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships
• a strong customer focus and the ability to deal with ambiguity and change
• a continuous drive in improving procedures and process
• previous involvement in an operational, manufacturing or logistics environment
• experience in building collaborative teams and coaching them to achieve manufacturing excellence targets
