Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Launch Infrastructure Systems Engineering Launch Equipment Section Manager 2 in support of the Sentinel Program. This position will be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and may offer a competitive relocation package.
What Youāll Get To Do:
As the Launch Equipment Systems Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 12 systems engineers across multiple domains and disciplines. The successful candidate should be detailed oriented and be able to work collaboratively with multiple remote teams and disciplines.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
ā¢ Lead the Systems Engineering Capabilities activities for the Command & Launch Infrastructure Launch Equipment team
ā¢ Coordinate vertically and horizontally with multiple engineering teams and organizations.
ā¢ Coordinate with customer and supplier engineering teams.
ā¢ Coordinate Incremental Functional Capability activities to shape team priorities.
ā¢ Lead Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) coordinating with specialty engineering teams.
ā¢ Organize and lead execution of multiple Critical Design Review events.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for a Systems Engineering discipline Section within the SDS Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager. You will provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy. Key FHR responsibilities will be personnel performance management, process familiarization and training for Section members, as well as staffing of roles on projects.
As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment as the Launch Equipment Systems Engineering Manager.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Youāll Bring These Qualifications:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of related experience or Master's degree and 6 years of related experience
ā¢ Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
ā¢ Managing people experience preferred

ā¢ Strong understanding and broad application of engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)
ā¢ Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
ā¢ Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations
ā¢ Functional management experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $230,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
