Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for an Paint Technician 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
Performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the fabrication and development of mechanical engineering designs, painting/coating and modifications of assemblies and related hard ware. With little supervision, technician must demonstrate good knowledge of painting/coating processes including experience with painting and coating of flight hardware. Must be willing to work any shift.

This positionâs standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
Seven years of experience in the use coating equipment.
Proficient in use of precision measuring instruments.Â
Experience in handling chemicals such as Isopropyl Alcohol and Acetone
Adept at reading drawings, process specification, and work order instructions.  Â
Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance or SCI Access.
Willing to work any shift.
Preferred Qualifications:Â
AA degree or other two-year technical degree
Familiar with Northrop Grumman Corporation processes.
Seven years of experience in the use of prepreg, bagging, autoclaves, ovens and release materials.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to supplement work order and other data requirements Â
Able to perform work daily in an approved clean room environment, to include wearing clean room garments.
