Northrop Grumman Aeronautics SystemsĀ has an opening for anĀ Engineering Manager 2 ā Structural AnalysisĀ for the Vehicle Engineering (VE) organization, reporting to the VE Department Manager inĀ Melbourne, FLĀ on theĀ 9/80 shift, 1st shift.
The manager will lead a team of structural analysis engineers and will be responsible for leading all managerial tasks relevant to structural analysis. The manager will work approximately 80% of their time in the structural analysis engineering discipline, as directed by the VE program IPT Lead. Tasks include analysis involving metals, non-metallic or composite materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs. Will also include damage tolerance, durability, and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability, fatigue and thermal analysis. The manager will also be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and facilitating communications, tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews with each individual contributorās execution lead.
Functional home room support, approximately 20% of the managerās time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, weekly team meetings, bi-weekly 1:1 meetings, and holding performance review discussions.Ā Supporting relevant VE Northrop Grumman Aeronautical Systems Community of Practice is expected.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelorās Degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 9 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's Degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 7 years of related engineering experience
Demonstrated excellence in the field of structural analysis.
Experience in a technical leadership/management role.
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment. This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelorās Degree and/or an Advanced Degree in Aerospace, Civil, and/or Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of structural analysis experience.
Experience with Subsystems structural analysis.
Experience with Build To Package development, applicable notes, Bill Of Materials, sign-off process.
Experience with CPLM or Teamcenter product data management tools
Experience with CATIA, NX-CAD, and/or similar CAD packages.
Experience with Staffing Forecasting.
Experience leading an engineering team within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
Experience with manufacturing and/or flight test processes.
Experience working Special Access Programs.
