Our 30âmonth Graduate Programme is designed to develop the next generation of technical shipping professionals, with a strong foundation in safety leadership, technical operations and risk management.
The programme focuses primarily on the Safety & Technical function, complemented by structured crossâfunctional rotations that provide broader exposure to commercial, operational, trading and business development activities. This approach ensures graduates develop a holistic understanding of Anglo Americanâs shipping business while building deep technical expertise.
The programme prepares graduates for longâterm careers within Anglo American Shipping, with the opportunity to be considered for a permanent role during or at the end of the programme.
This role is designed to develop technically capable professionals who demonstrate Anglo Americanâs values of Safety, Care & Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability and Innovation., with the opportunity to be considered for a permanent role at the end of the program., or earlier if a permanent role becomes available within the Shipping team.
The program also endeavors to prepare the next generation of leaders in shipping, preparing them for managerial and senior leadership positions.

Safety & Technical Rotation (Primary Focus)
The graduate must be analytical, organized, responsible and have good interpersonal skills. This position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual seeking to experience the real world of Dry Bulk Global Shipping and learn about the intricate details of the business.
The incumbent will spend the majority of the program within the Safety & Technical function, developing technical competence, safety leadership mindset and operational risk awareness.
