As an Automation Engineer at Micron, your responsibilities will include:
Automation Execution & Support:
Support site automation systems such asAutomated material Handling Systems /ASRS, AMR /AGVs, conveyors, Cobot /Cobot and material tracking toolsto ensure stable operations. Programming knowledge will be added advantage.
Execute assigned automation tasks independently under defined scope, following site and global standards, should have Hands on Experience on Mechanical Maintenance
Act as akey contributorduring system installation, commissioning, ramp, and sustain phases.
Project Participation:
Support automation project execution includinglayout reviews, checklist execution, and on-site activities.
Participate inFactoryAcceptanceTestandsystem buyoff activities, ensuring issues areidentified, tracked, and resolved.
Execute defined work packages within larger automation projects.
Cross‑FunctionalCoordination:
Work closely withFacilities, Manufacturing, IT/MES, Warehouse, and Equipment Engineering teamsto support automation deployment.
Interface withvendors and OEMsfor issue resolution, testing, and clarification of requirements.
Provide regular updates on assigned tasks, risks, and issues to leads and stakeholders.
Troubleshooting & Sustainment:
Supporttroubleshooting and root cause analysisof automation system issuesimpactingmaterial movement.
Assistin implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve system reliability and up time.
Support preventive maintenance activities and system health monitoring.
Should have well versed experience in servo, drives, controllers,conveyors,robot,sensors,mechanical systems, lifts, AGV, AMRetc...
