Overview
The Vice President, Business Development for Thailand leads Mastercardās engagement across financial institutions and nonāfinancial ecosystem partners. This leader drives revenue growth, deepens strategic partnerships, accelerates digital payment and acceptance innovation, and champions Mastercard solutions spanning issuing, acceptance, digital transformation, security, data, and new payment flows. The role requires strong commercial leadership, market presence, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across diverse industries.
Role
⢠Define and execute Thailandās business development strategy aligned with country, regional, and global priorities across both FI and nonāFI segments.
⢠Drive revenue, volume, and share growth across issuing, acceptance, commercial solutions, and digital payment offerings.
⢠Identify and unlock opportunities across banks, fintechs, retailers, airlines, telcos, eācommerce platforms, PSPs, and emerging digital players.
⢠Lead market sensing to anticipate ecosystem shifts (e.g., realātime payments, open banking, digital commerce, new lending models, embedded finance).
⢠Serve as senior point of contact for priority partners, whether FI or nonāFI.
⢠Build and deepen Cāsuite relationships, shaping longāterm partnership agendas.
⢠Lead commercial negotiations, renewals, and multiāproduct deal structuring.
⢠Expand adoption of Mastercard solutions including digital issuance, tokenization, cybersecurity, loyalty, data & analytics, acceptance solutions, and new payment flows.
⢠Partner with Advisors, Product, Cyber & Intelligence, Marketing, and Delivery teams to bring integrated crossāfunctional solutions to partners.
⢠Lead crossāfunctional account teams and drive goātoāmarket execution.
⢠Ensure disciplined pipeline management and commercial rigor.
⢠Maintain strong understanding of Thailandās regulatory, competitive, and technology landscape.
⢠Represent Mastercard at industry events, public forums, and partner leadership discussions.
⢠Drive operational excellence and ensure adherence to Mastercard compliance, risk, and security standards.
All About You
⢠15+ yearsā experience in payments, banking, digital commerce, fintech, consulting, or adjacent industries.
⢠Demonstrated ability to build and execute marketāshaping business development strategies.
⢠Strong commercial acumen and experience managing large, complex partnerships.
⢠Deep understanding of Thailandās payment and digital ecosystem, including both FI and nonāFI segments.
⢠Excellent communication, negotiation, and senior stakeholder management skills.
⢠Confident, proactive, and solutionsāoriented leadership style.
⢠Strong crossāfunctional collaboration skills across local and regional teams.
⢠Bachelorās degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
⢠Fluency in Thai and English.
