Overview
Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by providing value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.
Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercardās rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Strategy & Transformation consultants lead clients through impactful decision-making as they tackle strategic, tactical, operational, and transformational business challenges. They apply a broad set of problem-solving techniques to improve the clientās overall strategy, performance, and operations.

Roles and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior Managing Consultant with strong consulting and problem-solving skills. We need someone who can partner with business leaders, identify opportunities, and deliver end-to-end consulting engagement that drive measurable impact.
Client Impact
ā¢ Proactively identify key business challenges and growth opportunities in the Cards & Payments portfolio (e.g., acquisition, activation, usage, cross-sell, retention, credit risk, fraud).
ā¢ Partner with stakeholders across product, risk, marketing, operations, and digital to frame hypotheses and define problem statements.
ā¢ Lead complex client engagements across a range of industries and problem statements
ā¢ Direct the development of strategies and programs for regional and global clients by leveraging data and technology solutions to unlock client value
ā¢ Translate strategic questions into structured projects hypothesis with clear success metrics.
ā¢ Own senior client relationships from mid-level to C-suite to drive commercial success
ā¢ Serve as a trusted client business advisor and generate enthusiasm for the Mastercard team and our recommendations
Team collaboration
ā¢ Guide team through complex problem solving to business-focused solutions and recommendations that drive client value
ā¢ Motivate the project delivery team to produce superior quality deliverables, and create a collaborative and inclusive environment for all levels
ā¢ Own relationship with internal Mastercard stakeholders including Product and Business Development to scope projects, create relevant solutions for clients, and build the firm's intellectual capital
ā¢ Lead on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to both direct and outside team members
Business Impact & Implementation
ā¢ Quantify the incremental revenue, cost savings, or risk reduction from each analytics use case.
ā¢ Partner with business units to implement solutions (e.g., optimized cross-sell campaigns, card spend stimulation, improved credit line management, etc.).
ā¢ Track performance post-implementation and feed learnings back into strategy.
Thought Leadership & Capability Building
ā¢ Act as a strategic advisor to client leadership
ā¢ Stay up to date on best practices in cards, payments.
ā¢ Mentor junior team members and contribute to building an impactful culture.
Experience:
Ā· Undergraduate degree with work experience in consulting at a top strategy firm with exposure to financial services
Ā· Experience coaching and leading teams across large, strategic consulting engagements that involve structured problem solving and stakeholder management
Ā· Experience leading senior client relationships
Ā· Deep knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership
Ā· Ability to identify new business development opportunities, and experience leading proposal development and scoping of new opportunities
Ā· Experience generating new knowledge or creating innovative solutions for a firm
Ā· Logical, structured thinking, and affinity for numerical analysis
Ā· Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
Ā· Ability to lead multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ā· Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)
Ā· Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs
Ā· Ability to travel to client sites on a semi-regular basis
