Position Overview
The Registrar is responsible for the oversight, integrity, and security of all student academic records and for ensuring compliance with institutional policies and federal/state regulations. This role leads registration, academic scheduling, degree conferral, and reporting functions and serves as the functional lead for Workday Student to ensure data accuracy, system effectiveness, and user support.
The Registrar plays a key role in academic policy development and governance, providing guidance on regulatory interpretation and supporting curriculum and committee processes. The position also contributes to student success through oversight of academic progress and coordination with advising partners. Strong collaboration across academic Schools and administrative offices—including the Bursar, Financial Aid, and Admissions—is essential to support institutional operations and strategic goals.
This is a 12-month position.

Key Responsibilities
30% of Time: Workday Student Administration and Data Integrity
- Oversee the accuracy, integrity, and effective use of data within Workday Student
- Partner with IT on system updates, enhancements, and integrations
- Serve as the primary functional lead for Academic Affairs end-users, including training, support, and issue resolution
- Collect, prioritize, and manage Workday-related issues and enhancement requests
- Conduct process audits to ensure alignment between Registrar and Deans’ workflows
- Develop and implement system-based alerts and workflows to support academic policies (e.g., course caps, waitlists, overloads, low-enrolled sections)
20% of Time: Academic Policy and Governance
- Guide faculty and academic administrators on the interpretation of academic policies and regulations
- Support development, revision, and documentation of academic policies
- Evaluate operational and compliance impacts of proposed policy changes
- Coordinate implementation of approved policy updates across academic and administrative units
- Represent the Registrar’s Office on Faculty Assembly, Dean’s Council, Academic Advising Committee, Curriculum Committees, and related governance bodies
20% of Time: Student Records and Academic Progress Oversight
- Ensure the integrity, security, and confidentiality of academic records
- Ensure compliance with FERPA and institutional policies
- Oversee transcript processing, grading, and records maintenance
- Oversee undergraduate advising cycle processes, including first-time registration
- Monitor student progression and identify at-risk students (e.g., not registered, below full-time, off track for degree completion), coordinating with deans and advisors
10% of Time: Data, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
- Oversee the extraction, validation, and structuring of Workday Student data for reporting and analysis
- Produce reports for accreditation, compliance, and institutional decision-making
- Collaborate with IT and campus partners to develop dashboards and improve data accessibility
- Identify opportunities to improve curriculum, catalog, and governance processes
20% of Time: Leadership and Institutional Collaboration
- Supervise Registrar’s Office staff and support professional development
- Facilitate coordination between academic units, Financial Aid, Bursar, and other campus partners
- Coordinate commencement and diploma issuance
- Other duties as assigned
Community Engagement
- Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting major events such as Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings. As a member of the leadership team, model a strong commitment to community engagement.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Associate Provost. Works under general supervision.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Registrar supervises a team of eight (8) staff:
- Consulting Registrar
- (3) Associate Registrar
- Assistant Registrar
- Registration Specialist
- Registration and Records Coordinator
- Transcript Processor and Customer Service Specialist

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a registrar or enrollment services role.
- Experience with Workday Student (configuration, reporting, or administration).
- Strong knowledge of FERPA and academic policies.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with system implementations or upgrades involving Workday Student preferred.
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 - 125,000. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and external market data when extending an offer. The final salary is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or other compensation.
